I bought the satin nickel unit last week and installed it this week. Shipping was a respectable couple of days and everything arrived as described. The unit works very well, operates with zero noise and has not given me any difficulties to date.

I use this daily and nevertheless love it. I had lots of people warn me that these warm drinking water tanks are inefficient and will increase my electric bill. I use this for instant coffee, warming baby bottles, oatmeal, you name it. Even nevertheless, there hasn’t been even an incremental increase in my bill, extremely suggest this item!

We have had 3 hot drinking water dispensers because remodeling the kitchen some 6 years ago. Better than Insinkerator
I had an Insinkerator Hot Water Dispenser and it was trouble from day one. The faucet would stick on, it was a pain to install with such short hoses, 3 tank connections and their customer service was terrible. The Insinkerator failed (tank rusted through) after a few years and I told myself I wasn't going to buy another based on my experiences. I read the reviews on this Waste King and they seemed really good so I purcheased it. It was a lot cheaper than the other brand also.
It is really nicely made. Heavy faucet (I think it's built out of all brass) and the tank seems nicely constructed. I followed the directions and had it installed in about 90 minutes (that included removing the old one). All of the parts were included to do the install. I did have to buy a 1/4" copper tubing bender to bend the copper lines in the direction I needed for connections to the tank. After installing it and filling the tank, I plugged it in and had hot water in about 7 minutes. It operates very quietly and has been great so far.
I contacted their customer service regarding warranty information (what I would need in the event something happened) and they were very helpful.
All in all, I am happy so far. Should something arise, I will update this review.

Excellent Buy! Hot Water Dispenser
Since installing this hot water dispenser it has performed in excellent manner. It is attractive (ours is chrome), sturdy, and the price was right. The vendor delivered most quickly (standard shipping), and the single box, although heavy, was sealed (completely) with strong tape. I've never before seen a package wrapped so securely. I recommend both item and this vendor.

Great alternative to InSinkErator

Great to see a well priced, good quality alternative to the InSinkErator product line. Package has good simple packaging and installation steps are simple. Three connections. However, you do need to solder the copper connections. Installed this week. Performing as expected. The nickel finish is up to par with my Kohler faucet. If they've a hot and cold water model, i'd definitely upgrade to that.

Had to return faucet because water would not come out of faucet. New faucet water comes out very slow.. Not happy with this product at all.

Beautiful Unit, Excellent Service
I can't say enough nice things about this unit. Its install was flawless, however I had to dig for a vented faucet install diagram before ordering from Waste King Direct. They were GREAT - sent me a PDF post haste.

I don't mind the slight delay in water with the vented faucet. In fact, I'm used to it as this unit filled the hole left by an Aquasana under counter filter kit. While I love my Aquasana, I hate their faucets (been through a couple). I needed the above diagram to verify what I thought about this unit before purchasing. What we did was put the Aquasana filter in-line between the faucet and the inlet port on the tank. That serves both the need of the filter to not be pressurized and we're getting filtered water to the heater.

Waste King Direct shipped it very next day, excellent service! I'm loving the hot water - all smiles around here.

I didn’t realize how noisy my old disposal was until the first time I turned on my new WasteKing. I actually thought the new 1 was stalled and quickly turned it off. What a difference. It actually sounds smooth.

I guess it was a great value and it functions well enough but it’s so small that you have to dispose of stuff in small batches. The opening into the sink is so little that if something small falls into it, that’s not supposed to go in there, you can’t get your fingers past your knuckles and need to fish it out with tongs or some other type of implement.

Consumer Reports was right this garbage disposal unit is quiet and very efficient. Does a excellent job with liitle noise and does it quickly.
Better than Insinkerator on both noise and speed.

I just followed the instructions for the new Easy Mount and did not have any problems. No leaks. The large issue with all disposers may be the dishwasher connection hose seems that a hose could made that’s flexable and simple.

My husband installed it in about 30 minutes, no plumbers putty needed even! Believe me, anyone can install this as a replacement if my hubby can…he is poor at changing light bulbs even! I have yet to put onion or potato peels down it, but as far as I can tell, it runs soooooo smooth and quiet our friends believed our disposal was still broken when it had been on because it was so quiet!

Clay Sink , Extended Flange, Adaptor Kit, Badger Replacement
If you are replacing an InSinkErator Badger 5 disposer with a Waste King 3300 disposer on a clay or cast iron sink requiring an extended flange, simply buy the Waste King 3300 disposer and the Waste King 3101 ISE Adapter Kit. That is all you need to get the job done. Actually, even with a regular sink install, to make the job easy and to not have to deal with removing the old flange if it is in good shape and seating a new flange with plumbers putty and all, the adapter kit would save you the trouble.

I replaced an 8 yr old InSinkErator Badger 5 disposer with a Waste King 3300 and am pleased. Although the Badger was a bit more quiet when running without food, the Waste King noise is not objectionable, although with all the foam padding surrounding the Waste King (that is why it looks so fat), it may be more quiet when grinding food and likely faster. Comparing the Badger 5 to the Waste King on the insides, the Badger seems to have a much larger hole in the grinding chamber through which the waste is discharged, which might explain why my drain kept getting clogged every 6-months or so (no pasta, veggies, rice, or bread; made that mistake years ago; just an occasional coffee ground left over in the hopper and eggshells (apparently eggshells don't dissolve with chemical drain cleaner as that is what I pulled back when routing out the clog about 60 feet down the pipe; rent the 75 ft. powered plumbers auger snake at Home Depot if you are handy. Cover it with a tarp when retracting the cable or you'll spray your kitchen with drain water from the spinning cable, learned that lesson). Ultimately I replaced the Badger due to the plastic case cracking and leaking which is a common occurrence per the other Badger reviews. I had sealed the obvious crack with JB Weld epoxy which bought me another year of life but started leaking somewhere else.

Now to the Waste King sink and flange issue. I have a Shaw clay farmer sink which required the use of an extended flange for the Badger (0 for the standard brushed stainless steel flange), which used a 3-bolt plus rotating ring mount system (the flange is held on by the 3-bolt mount, and the disposer is held on by a rotating ring). Frankly, I had thought I had an EZ mount since it had the rotating ring; not. The EZ mount flange of the Waste King appeared in the photos to be longer and of a different design, so I was thinking that the included flange would work for my sink if it was not a direct replacement for the Badger mount. Wrong. If your sink needs or already has an extended flange, order the Waste King 3101 ISE Adapter Kit from Amazon for under nine dollars (best deal and 3-day delivery for five dollars), and your installation will be a snap. The included instructions for the adaptor kit are not clear as the assembled parts do not look like the sketches in the instructions. Go to the Waste King website and review the excellent video installation guide for the adaptor.

The included Waste King flange is a polished stainless steel sheet metal ring covering on a black plastic body. You can see the inside of the black plastic flange when looking into the drain. Not especially attractive if you have a brushed nickel faucet and a white clay sink. Polished stainless or chrome fixtures are so 70's and I would worry about scratches over time, but I'll never know. But since money is tight I was going to use it anyway, but couldn't. But now I have an old InSinkErator flange which looks like new (which is solid stainless but for 0 what do you expect) with a Waste King disposer, but at least brushed SS looks enough like brushed nickel that it blends in. After extensive search it appears that Waste King only offers an extended flange for their 3-bolt mount system which is not adaptable to the Waste King EZ mount system disposers.

Why not simply buy the 3-bolt Waste King disposer thinking that it will be a direct replacement for the Badger 3-bolt mount? Not. From the specification sheet, the Waste King 3-bolt mount doesn't look anything like the Badger 3-bolt rotating ring mount so it is not a direct fit. The Waste King 3-bolt mount system uses a hose clamp to attach the disposer to the flange, not a locking ring. Imagine tightening a hose clamp with a screw driver with one hand while holding a heavy disposer with the other hand. Forget it.

By the way, the drain discharge tube on the Waste King 3300 was the same length as on the Badger 5 so the drain plumbing connected perfectly without pipe cutting or replacing. I used the rubber dishwasher coupler and hose clamp that came with the dishwasher with the new Waste King. My coupler is simply a rubber hose that couples the rigid plastic dishwasher discharge hose to the Waste King dishwasher nipple. The Badger 5 and Waste King 3300 have the same nipple diameter (don't forget to knock out the white plug in the dishwasher nipple if you are connecting a dishwasher). You might want to check the coupler before the new disposer arrives in case it is showing it's age as it may need replacing. Besides what came in the box, I only needed plumbers putty since I tried to replace the drain flange. Otherwise, all you need to install the disposer is a flat head screw driver for assemblying the discharge elbow to the disposer and for loosening and tightening the Badger ring, assuming your drain pipe is plastic and can be loosened and tightened by hand.

Is all of this trouble worth buying the Waste King versus just getting another Badger at HD? I say yes, as the Waste King looks to be a superior disposer for the money with a 10-year in-home warranty. I don't know how they can afford to do that with an under 0 disposer.

Very Satisfied...
The waste king is a very good product. It is very quiet and handles the waste very well. It's so quiet that you sometimes wonder whether its working. No problems with shipping and the install was easy. I was a little worried about the size but it fits under the sink a little closer than my first one and its not bad. So far , so good...

Excellent product, I needed a little help with install, called 800 number and quickly I was talking with a technician. 10 minutes later it was up and running! Would recommend this product to anyone.

Just installed my new Waste King disposer
I bought the Waste King L3000 after reading all the reviews and the recommendation of Consumer Reports. I installed this new disposer as part of a total kitchen remodel. Installation was a piece of cake and I have to say I much prefer the waste king easy installation ring, over the competitors 3 bolt system. Just make sure you read through the directions completely and do a dry run first.

Haven't been able to use it much since I am still in the remodel stage, but it doesn't appear to be too noisy, although it does seem to be just a bit louder than a highend InSinkerator...but I wouldn't let that deter you from purchasing this product. The only thing I would ding it on...is that each time you turn it on, it does make an unusual "loud" click which are the blades moving into place...and the instructions states that this is common.

Overall I am very pleased.

UPDATE: I've had a little time put put my new waste king through the test and it has passed with flying colors. It's not too loud and does its job quickly and efficently.

install easy, but
Old insinkerator began to leak and finally quit, so new waste king. I reviewed consumer reports and reviews here to make sure what I was looking for would be good. I installed myself. Seemed a little scary but followed instructions carefully. Biggest problem was electrical. It comes with a plug in and I have a wall switch on side of sink on wall, so no extension cord would be good. I had to cut off plug also a little scary as I'm no electrician. The instructions talk about something to hold newly installed waste king up while putting together and I wholeheartedly agree as the garbage disposal literally just hangs there and no way to hold up and rewire etc. Once hooked up at first did not start with switch, under further review it was electrical and re twisted the wires and put back together and works. I have tried to keep a close eye on any leaking, but none that I have found. so far so good seems to eat up just about anything lemon peels among others. I have had about a month.

The contractor who remodeled our kitchen thought it wasn’t working when he very first turned it on. The water through the faucet almost covers the sound completely. I bought this in component because from the low noise level touted in other reviews and it did not disappoint. It’s incredibly quiet. Obviously, anything would be an improvement over the old disposal, which sounded as though it would tear itself to pieces each and every time we utilized it. But this really is just incredible.

Ordered this disposal, it arrived in four days and was installed with 1 tool along with a flashlight in 40 minutes. Literally price one-third of what purchasing one in town and having a plumber install.

We love this. Our kitchen adjoins the living region, the sound this disposer makes doesn’t intrude on conversations.

Everything I required was incorporated in the box except for some plumber’s putty along with a energy cord, which I took off from the aged unit. Because the old unit was also from InSinkErator, the energy cord included the strain-relief clamp so I just re-used that as well. The set up went smoothly, and was probably a bit simpler than normal because I also replaced the kitchen sink at the same time, so I had easy access towards the bottom 1/3 HP disposer.

Easy Install
This sinkerator is a big large, but it was very easy to install it. It's also very quiet when you use the grinder.

A quiet beast
I recently replaced the 8-year-old 1/3 HP disposer that was originally under the kitchen sink with this 3/4 HP unit. The install went smoothly, and was probably a bit simpler than normal since I also replaced the kitchen sink at the same time; so I had easy access to the bottom. Everything I needed was included in the box except for some plumber's putty and a power cord, which I took off of the old unit. Since the old unit was also from InSinkErator, the power cord included the strain-relief clamp so I just re-used that too.

As far as the size goes, this is larger than the old 1/3 HP unit; but not as much larger as I thought it would be. Overall, everything that fit beneath the sink before still fits so the size hasn't been an issue at all. Not that it really matters under the sink, but the disposer also looks great:).

When it comes to performance, this disposer is amazing! It isn't silent, but it's a lot quieter than any other disposer we've ever owned. It has plenty of capacity for a 5 person family - it chews through everything from potato skins and orange peels to ice quickly and without a complaint. I can't believe we waited so long to replace our old disposer!

We also considered getting the lower-capacity 'compact' Evolution model from InSinkErator, but I'm glad we went with this one. On the other hand, if you have limited space or don't need the higher capacity then the compact would probably make more sense - especially since it has the same power.

Overall, I highly recommend this disposer.

Not fantastic
I am not as enthralled with this disposer as everyone else seems to be. Yes, it's quiet if you have the black-thingy in the drain, but big deal. The main thing I want in a garbage disposal is for it to grind the food efficiently. I replaced a 10-year-old Insinkerator Pro 333 3/4 horsepower which was absolutely wonderful. Although not especially loud, you could tell by the sound when the food was ground up - and it was ground up in seconds. The Evolution Essential takes about three times as long, and I am always removing the black-thingy to peek inside to see if it is finished. It seldom is. Plus, the black-thingy keeps water from draining quickly, so if you pour a big pot of boiling spaghetti-water into a collander, you get a sink-full of boiling water and a steam burn. I miss my Pro 333.

This unit so quiet that you can barely hear it when it is performing its job. It runs super smooth, so you will find no vibrations producing the sink rattle as it used to with my old fundamental Insinkerator. I am very pleased with this disposer and recommend it highly.

Just installed today. Replacing old badger 5 which lasted many years. An excellent smooth operating product but to be honest, not as quite as I expected, especially for that money. A really well made unit that I’m certain will live up to its claims.

This model insinkerator evolution built to last, run much quiter,you’ll pay a little much more then the less expensive one which will not last lengthy, the istalliation took about an hour, the old one would not turn off had to obtain a hammer and chissal to loosned it after that the set up went in very easily.

It was a really easy set up. I did have to make a trip to the plumbing store for a couple of pipes but otherwise it was flawless and the operation is very quiet and also the grind is great no matter what I set into it. You can’t do better for that money. I would buy another 1 if I required to.

We have had this disposal for any year and all you read is true, this really is a quiet and capable disposal. IMO, do not set any much more thought into this choice and just order this unit. Quiet, capable, no difficulties.

We bought this model on the recomdation of our plumber. We have been completely satisfied with it, it functions great and is very quiet.

So far so good. Really quiet!
I purchased this product at Home Depot. It was less expensive than Amazon and Lowes. The old disposal came out easily. The instructions that come with the product are pretty good. Make sure you purchase the power cable kit. The unit does not come with a power cable. This is the biggest issue I had because my old disposal was wired directly into the switch on the wall and the wiring went behind the sink. Unless you ripped the back of the sink off, you weren't getting to this wiring. So I installed the power cable kit, cut off the power plug and spliced the new wires to the wires coming from the wall switch. Overall the installation follows the instructions well. If you have a tight under the sink area, it is a bit difficult getting the disposal to line up with the quick install ring. I had to get my wife to help hold the unit steady while I twisted the ring. It took a few times, but we got it in the end. One area of improvement the manufacturer could make is to increase the length of the rubber fitting used to connect to your water pipe. There is not much room for the clamp to fit on the pipe. In the end, you can install this yourself. The unit is much quieter than the old one we had.

I did it myself !
After reading numerous posts about garbage disposals, this is the one I picked. So far, I am glad I did. It was easy to install and it really is as quiet as people have claimed. I would not say I can't hear it going, but, yes, it is very quiet. One thing no one mentioned. The connection from the disposal to the waste tubing is different from older units. Instead on screwing on, it has a piece of PVC which fits into a rubber sleeve and is held on by a metal ring which compresses when squeezed and fits snug. What they means is that you can't unscrew the old PVC and re-connect. I had to go and buy additional parts to connect to my drain system. Not hard, but it entailed a trip to the hardware store. If your old system was screwed to the waste piping, expect to do the same.

So far so good
It's been a while since I purchased this thing and I just got around to installing it last weekend. I had some old crappy disposer in there before so it took me a while to figure out how to get the old one out of there. Once, I was able to do that though, the instructions explained it pretty well. It took me about 30-45 minutes overall and I had never done anything like this before. I also had to trim the drain pipe to fit.

One thing worth noting is that I bought the Insinkerator brand power cable kit from Amazon as well. It took me a couple minutes to figure out which wire on the power cable was hot and which was neutral. But I'm a dude so of course the last thing I did was read the instructions. They aren't color coded so make sure you look at the instructions for the cable itself to figure out which one is which.

Got it working on the first try, no leaks. Runs like a champ and was a lot easier to install than I thought it would be.

Best Value for the Money
Install was simple. I had a contractor grade InsinkErator that I was replacing and was able to use that mount to install this unit. This unit is MUCH quieter than my old unit and the performance is significantly better. I have already recommended it to others - one of whom has already installed it and they are very happy with it as well. So far (I've only had it installed for a little over a month), it's easily worth a five star rating.

When I got this, I never put 1 in before. The instruction for installation exactly where easy to use. its much larger then the old one i had. so a few modifications where needed. When I finished, I had to try it out. Dropped a potato in and it was gone instantly. so quiet as well.

Quiet indeed
There's not a lot to say... after all, it's a garbage disposal. The selling feature for this one is quiet, and wow... is it ever quiet! I purchased this to mount to my new stainless steel sink. I was rather concerned about noise from the disposal, but concerned as well about the sink resonating the sound and amplifying it somehow. Good news, no concerns at all after the install. Honestly, when the disposal is on and the water is running you can't hear the disposal over running water. Product works great, and as long as noise is a concern for you... pay the price increase for this and I believe you'll be happy like me.

Best disposal I ever had
This disposal is so far ahead of anything I've ever had before that I hardly know where to begin. Most disposals choke on a lot of things--banana peels, anything stringy, chicken bones--not this one. It does it all very smoothly and so quiet that you don't jump at the start of its powerful action. I cook with a lot of raw vegetables and this one is made for anyone serious about cooking from scratch. Love it!

Yes, the filter is quite expensive, but I did it without me for a month or so, because I ordered the replacement recommended by Whirlpool, which was the wrong one. So, I had to ask for a replacement, which means more costs, but the quality of water is just much better, as well as the taste and smell of the ice. Installation is fairly simple, just make sure you have a flashlight, if yours is at floor level as mine. You line it up correctly. I will continue to replace my light when my refrigerator’s advises. This food processor is the bomb! I’ve had for about three years, and it works fine. The only problem I had with it is that attachment juice that came with it broke, probably due to overzealous use during a Cinco de Mayo party. Only internal lime reamer was broken, but the attachment has no use. Today, I called KitchenAid and are sending a part of me, for free, with a rush delivery, so maybe I will have my party on Cinco de Mayo next week. KitchenAid is fabulous and so are their products!

I have been using the standard 12 cup for a year … my first blender and I love it. ‘m On a diet of raw foods, so I use this processor food at least once or twice a day. I have the clear / white model treaties. I came to see that food debris is going to handle it clear and I can not flush out with baking soda and vinegar. I would love to be able to disassemble for cleaning the inside, but I feel that could damage the equipment by taking it apart and see no way to join managed separately. I find I mostly use the large bowl with the S-blade and also the grille and cut the blades. Never use the small or intermediate bowls at all …. is not only easier to clean the large bowl and start over. All in all I am very happy with my purchase.

I got this one after unsuccessfully trying the Cuisinart waffle maker. It is wonderful! None of the batters, not even gluten-free ones would stick. All waffles came out great, crisp outside and moist inside. The grill feature was a plus and makes great grill cheese or other types or grilled sandwiches in a jiffy.

This is our second purchase of this same model over many years and have found it to be of good quality, reliable, and attractive square waffle maker. The removable cooking plates make clean up a snap and allows unit to be used for pancakes and sandwich cooking also. The temp control knob can be set to produce desired done every time. I highly recommend this model.

I have had this waffle iron for 16 years. I don’t have any other appliance that is still alive and working perfectly after so long. This used to be sold under the brand GE, before they spun it off to B & D. It makes perfect waffles and pancakes, and nothing sticks, even though I use NO grease or oil except what’s in my recipe. The outside does get very hot, but as long as you are careful it’s not a problem. The plates switch from flat griddle side to waffle side, and cleanup is a breeze, since nothing sticks. This is the last griddle/waffle iron you will ever buy. You will leave this baby to your grandchildren, I am not kidding.

These old fashioned sandwich grill/waffle irons aren’t easy to find anymore, but my parents finally found this one instead of a basic griddle I had asked for last Christmas. It’s pretty much like the old ones they used for pancakes, waffles, and sandwiches while I was growing up, except it seems to heat more consistently and evenly than the old ones. After properly oiling the grids and a practice run or two, it makes perfect waffles and pancakes, and it fulfills the role of a griddle and sandwich grill just as well. (Isn’t the whole point of this thing those great mashed hot ham ‘n’ cheese or barbecue sandwiches?) This is kitchen technology that was perfected many years ago. Much more versatile than all the other grills, griddles, and waffle irons out there, and performs each function as well as any of them.

Those people who say they are looking for an “old fashioned waffle iron”, and have actually _used_ an “old fashioned waffle iron”, will enjoy this iron. I was searching for a real waffle iron, the kind that makes crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside waffles. This waffle iron is just the thing. It really is old-fashioned: It does get very hot on the outside, which is to be _expected_ with a chrome waffle iron – whoever is surprised by that isn’t old enough to use this appliance. The non-stick plates work as well as any other non-stick pan. They still require some oiling, and the waffle recipe has to include oil as well. I keep the iron closed while it heats up; it takes about 5 minutes to reach full-heat. That’s just enough time for me to mix my waffle mix and let it rest before baking. I found that if I time the waffle baking for exactly 3 minutes, the waffles come out perfect every time. This is not your child’s Easy Bake Waffle Iron – if you want that, go buy one of those plastic things. For adult use only.

You simply cannot go wrong with this one. Trust the reviews… this isn’t a trick. After much research, I decided on this coffee maker, purchased from Costco online for 62.99 plus tax and shipping. Best thing I could have done with $75.88! Got the Swiss Gold Coffee Cone Filter #4 (KF4) and Krups Fast Touch beangrinder too. Makes a helluva cup of coffee. I am confident that my setup can take the pepsi challenge with virtually anything else out there in the same price range.

The design of the carafe on this maker is good; the mouth is a bit wider than most, but you will still need a bottle brush to really clean it. There is even a secondary carafe lid to prevent air from entering the carafe after you have brewed a pot. I bought mine at Costco for less than Amazon, and the latest revision of this model (Model EC-BD15BA) states that you can use the readily available #4 cone filters. I think Zojirushi realized that #4 filters are easily found for the American market. The unit is easy to program for timed brewing, and the water level indicator is easy to read.

I purchased this coffee maker about 4 months ago to replace a Mr. Coffee which had design flaws causing it to leak frequently. This “Zoji” is a dream of a machine! Easy to use, easy to clean, great tasting coffee, and stays hot for hours! No more burnt taste…and it hasn’t leaked or overflowed a single time since I started using it!! No more waking up to a mess because I didn’t place the pot PRECISELY in the exact spot it should be. I even tried to offset the pot to see if it will leak, and no problem!!! I am very pleased!

We’re very pleased with our new coffee maker. The machine is very easy to fill with water and coffee, and it makes delicious coffee. The insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours without “cooking” it, so the coffee still tastes fresh after an hour or more. I am especially happy with how easy it is to clean the machine. There’s an inner plastic cone that holds the #4 paper filter; it pops right out to dump the grounds and rinses clean. Then the basket that holds the plastic cone slides off easily too, and the mouth of the stainless steel carafe is wide enough to clean with a standard dish washing brush – it rinses clean too. An excellent product!

My husband & I purchased this coffee maker from Amazon about a month ago & we love it. The coffee stays HOT for about 4 hours and then after that, if you need to microwave the coffee, there is absolutely NO bitter taste. The flavor is great & the coffee stays hot. This coffee maker is attractive and can make good coffee. Unfortunately, because the interior walls surrounding the heater plate are the precise, dark brown color of coffee, from my angle the carafe always looks empty when it’s in the coffee maker. If you’re not clear-headed enough to remove and check the carafe every time you make coffee, you’ll have messy overflows and ruined pots of coffee.

I had been using an old, inexpensive Krups coffee maker before I switched to this one and wow, what a difference! I never knew there could be so much difference between a $40 coffee maker and an $80 one, but there really is. I’m the type of person that really loves coffee; I don’t just drink it to wake up, I truly love the taste and would drink it all day long if I could. The coffee from this Cuisinart is so hot, so strong and so flavorful! If I had to complain about one thing, it’s that the water fill level is inside the machine so it’s sort of hard to read unless you have a strong light directly over the coffee maker. Otherwise I would have given this one five stars. Great cup of joe!

After years of suffering through one cheap coffee maker after another, I finally made the leap and bought a quality product. Maybe part of my problem was that I am the only coffee drinker in my household and I wasn’t buying the machines, but I decided to take matters into my own hands this time. Well, it was worth it! After doing lots of research, and reading countless reviews, many on this site, I decided on the Cuisinart DCC-1200BW Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Matte Black Metal. Best thing I could have done! The Cuisinart is sturdy, attractive, and well designed. You will read complaints in other reviews about the opening to the water reservoir being too small, the clock being too small and the numbers for the water level being difficult to read, but these are all such nit-picky, insignificant things, it’s unreal. This machine makes a great cup of coffee! It’s very user-friendly and if you like your coffee hot, you can set it to take the skin off the roof of your mouth, if you wish. I’ve read reviews that this machine is too noisy, but it’s actually quieter than many of the others I’ve owned. The matte black finish resists fingerprints and this is the only true drip-proof carafe I’ve ever used. It’s even easy to clean. A can’t-miss purchase and I highly recommend it!

About two months ago it became necessary to replace my coffeemaker as the coffee was no longer hot. I went to Amazon.com and looked and read reviews. Based upon the reviews and even though it was a bit more expensive than some, I ordered the Cuisinart DCC-1200. This coffeemaker makes the best tasting coffee I have ever had at home. I am using the same freshly ground coffee and it tastes better. A big plus is the comfortable handle and no-drip feature. It really does not drip from the pot ever. My hands and fingers never get burned from steam when holding or pouring from the pot. Cuisinart has done a great job with this one. The other manufacturers can learn from this coffeemaker.

My coffee maker just died after 4 years, so I decided to replace with this model. It looked great in the pictures, and when it arrived. We were excited to try it out. The minute we turned it on it began making an electrical “Ozone” smell. We unplugged it immediately and shipped it back. We are not going to replace it. Too bad. It looked great. Also, the power cord is very short. My Krups cord was 44 inches log – this one is about 24. Just did not work for us. I cannot review the operation of the machine – we never got to use it.

While I usually chop on a plastic cutting board with a big chef’s knife, the Cuisinart makes several tasks a lot easier. Chopping cooked or raw meat is one. If you are making hash from leftover corned beef, a short burst in this food processor is the easiest way to go. For mixing certain pastry doughs (pie or pate brisee) this is also a very good item to have, although you have to be careful to go slowly and not overprocess. The one thing the Cuisinart does is heat up the dough if you whirl it around too much, so you have to be careful. And if you put too heavy a bread dough in, using the plastic bread blade, you can heat the shaft up enough to jam the blade onto the central post and that’s a big nuisance. However, with these cautions, the Cuisinart is hands-down my favorite food processor and for shredding, slicing thinly or chopping, pretty much the best kitchen appliance for the job.

This great big cuisanart arrived to replace a little old model I got in the 70s. It seems not only big but a bit complicated to operate…any appliance that needs a DVD to explain itself has a slight problem. However, it works well once you wrangle it into position. I’m beginning to like it a lot!

I love my Cuisinart for making things like hummus or pesto, but not for making breads. Even after following all of the instructions (not adding more than 3 cups of wheat, adding liquids slowing) the machine shuts off every time because the motor is over worked. Also, the dough gets under the blade and it’s a pain to clean. Sometimes I think it would be easier to knead the bread by hand.

I have been using a Hamilton Beach processor for the past few years because it was a gift and I didn’t want to spend the money to buy my own. Am I glad I did! There’s a reason everyone uses the word Cuisinart when referring to a food processor. No one else should even try to produce one. In the case of this food processor, it comes down to that old saying: “you get what you pay for.” You have to spend a little more money but you get a lot more product!

This is a great machine, it is my first food processor and I could not ask for a better performance. I have used it all day today for the first time and was able to slice tomatoes, for a salad, make a wonderful salad dressing, slice eggplant for mousaka, slice potatoes for spanish tortilla and more. If I did not have this little machine I still would be in the kitchen trying to cut all the vegetables with a knife. Thanks to this extremely fast food processor I was able to cut my cooking time in half. No more chopping or slicing vegetables with the knife. If you like to cook, I really recommend getting one.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for an 11 year old girl in our community. I got her request from our “Angel Tree”. It is true to color and very appealing. I purchased rock salt, vanilla and sugar to go with the gift. She would need the cream and ice when she started to use the ball. I have no idea if it worked well for her as we do not have personal contact with the kids. It would be useful as a game as well as being decorative.

My grandaughter had this marked in a magazine I received in the mail. I love the great colors to choose from and her favorite is, of course, pink. I received it quickly and have not talked to her since she has used it. So I cannot say how the Ice Cream Maker worked for her, but I’m sure she has had a “ball” with it. It is a very cool product.

I bought one of these ice cream balls for two different Grandchildren (one 7 year old and a 12 year old) for Christmas this year and it was the hit of the Season. The children each invited a friend to their house to make the ice cream for the first time. The end product was really delicious – one family added M & M’s to theirs and the other made plain vanilla.

This is a great way to keep the kids involved while making the ice cream. I have a friend who teaches elementary school and has me in with both our ice cream balls every year when covering the letter “i”. The kids LOVE rolling the ball, though we do have to watch after them and make sure they don’t THROW them.

I ordered this for a demonstration of freezing point depression for my chemistry class. The timing is perfect for a 53 minute period with time enough to serve the ice cream and the students getting to eat it before the time is up. The one quart capacity works well for for up to 30 students. The ice cream was smooth and creamy. I suppose it will work well for family picnics and keep the kids busy.
