If you are serious about juicing for any reason – health, healing, detoxing-whatever, this is a wonderful wonderful tool. I did alot of research prior to choosing the Breville 800JEXL. From day one of receiving it I began using this juice extractor twice a day until I underwent some shoulder surgery. This along with a detox diet prior to the surgery has I believe contributed to my healing well ahead of the curve. I’m now back to twice a day. It’s a pleasure to use since cleanup is extremely easy and fast, which was one of my main criteria. I always put a plastic bag from the grocery store in the hopper for even easier cleanup. And there is nothing flimsy about the construction. It’s a breeze to put back together. The pulp extracted is extremely dry so that I know I’m getting the maximum out of each vegetable or fruit I put in. The manual was very helpful as I had never juiced prior to getting the Breville and the recipes are classic. I’ve since bought 2 books about juicing and detox dieting which I would also recommend doing for more juice combination and in depth nutritional info. I had no qualms about the price although it was a stretch for me. It has more than paid for itself in the benefits and pleasure I get from it

I bought this juicer a couple of days ago, so I don’t know how credible my review is as far as long-term reliability…but as far as performance..this juicer is great in my opinion. It is no louder than any of the more popular Jack Lalanne juicers…it is far more powerful and easy to use.I can’t say enough about the the handy pitcher that is included. I hope that the product outlasts the warranty (1-year) which is much shorter than the warranty of some of it’s competitors, LEquip, Omega, Nutrisource. My final decision was in between this and the Lequip Mini…I think this is a better choice, b/c of it’s great durability, many stainless steel parts as opposed to plastic and it’s variable speed motor.

I’m new to juicing and just purchased this unit a week ago after doing my research and reading reviews. I’m disappointed with how wet the pulp is in addition to chunks of product not getting juiced and thrown in to the pulp collector bin. I used both speeds and also pushed the plunger down slow as recommended but same result. I think this is an inherent design flaw due to the distance between the chute and the cutting blade being too great allowing pieces to get thrown out without getting juiced. Forget trying to juice leafy greens like spinach as you’ll have little juice after putting in the whole bag and much of it thrown in the pulp collector. Unless you have an unlimited grocery budget and can afford such inefficient results, I’d consider going with a high quality smoothie maker or other juicing method such as grind and press. Less waste, more goodness!

This is my third juicer having gone through two of “Jay the Juiceman” Kordich Juiceman Juicers that I picked up in the late 90’s from his amazingly surreal infomercials. This Breville was only 70 bucks more than I paid for those and way more powerful, easy to clean, and sturdy. The best thing is the huge in take hole. You can go through 15 pounds of kale, carrots, huge leafy greens with so little effort. The giant in-take makes prep work non-existant. Just clean it up and stuff it in. No issues at all like the old Juicemans of leafy greens getting stuck and over-heating the juicer. And it looks amazing on your counter. Do yourself a favor and pick up this juicer. Don’t go cheap as you will be disappointed after you blow it up in a few weeks.
