You simply cannot go wrong with this one. Trust the reviews… this isn’t a trick. After much research, I decided on this coffee maker, purchased from Costco online for 62.99 plus tax and shipping. Best thing I could have done with $75.88! Got the Swiss Gold Coffee Cone Filter #4 (KF4) and Krups Fast Touch beangrinder too. Makes a helluva cup of coffee. I am confident that my setup can take the pepsi challenge with virtually anything else out there in the same price range.

The design of the carafe on this maker is good; the mouth is a bit wider than most, but you will still need a bottle brush to really clean it. There is even a secondary carafe lid to prevent air from entering the carafe after you have brewed a pot. I bought mine at Costco for less than Amazon, and the latest revision of this model (Model EC-BD15BA) states that you can use the readily available #4 cone filters. I think Zojirushi realized that #4 filters are easily found for the American market. The unit is easy to program for timed brewing, and the water level indicator is easy to read.

I purchased this coffee maker about 4 months ago to replace a Mr. Coffee which had design flaws causing it to leak frequently. This “Zoji” is a dream of a machine! Easy to use, easy to clean, great tasting coffee, and stays hot for hours! No more burnt taste…and it hasn’t leaked or overflowed a single time since I started using it!! No more waking up to a mess because I didn’t place the pot PRECISELY in the exact spot it should be. I even tried to offset the pot to see if it will leak, and no problem!!! I am very pleased!

We’re very pleased with our new coffee maker. The machine is very easy to fill with water and coffee, and it makes delicious coffee. The insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours without “cooking” it, so the coffee still tastes fresh after an hour or more. I am especially happy with how easy it is to clean the machine. There’s an inner plastic cone that holds the #4 paper filter; it pops right out to dump the grounds and rinses clean. Then the basket that holds the plastic cone slides off easily too, and the mouth of the stainless steel carafe is wide enough to clean with a standard dish washing brush – it rinses clean too. An excellent product!

My husband & I purchased this coffee maker from Amazon about a month ago & we love it. The coffee stays HOT for about 4 hours and then after that, if you need to microwave the coffee, there is absolutely NO bitter taste. The flavor is great & the coffee stays hot. It’s easy to clean & the design is very attractive. We highly recommend it!

This coffee maker is attractive and can make good coffee. Unfortunately, because the interior walls surrounding the heater plate are the precise, dark brown color of coffee, from my angle the carafe always looks empty when it’s in the coffee maker. If you’re not clear-headed enough to remove and check the carafe every time you make coffee, you’ll have messy overflows and ruined pots of coffee.

I had been using an old, inexpensive Krups coffee maker before I switched to this one and wow, what a difference! I never knew there could be so much difference between a $40 coffee maker and an $80 one, but there really is. I’m the type of person that really loves coffee; I don’t just drink it to wake up, I truly love the taste and would drink it all day long if I could. The coffee from this Cuisinart is so hot, so strong and so flavorful! If I had to complain about one thing, it’s that the water fill level is inside the machine so it’s sort of hard to read unless you have a strong light directly over the coffee maker. Otherwise I would have given this one five stars. Great cup of joe!

After years of suffering through one cheap coffee maker after another, I finally made the leap and bought a quality product. Maybe part of my problem was that I am the only coffee drinker in my household and I wasn’t buying the machines, but I decided to take matters into my own hands this time. Well, it was worth it! After doing lots of research, and reading countless reviews, many on this site, I decided on the Cuisinart DCC-1200BW Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Matte Black Metal. Best thing I could have done! The Cuisinart is sturdy, attractive, and well designed. You will read complaints in other reviews about the opening to the water reservoir being too small, the clock being too small and the numbers for the water level being difficult to read, but these are all such nit-picky, insignificant things, it’s unreal. This machine makes a great cup of coffee! It’s very user-friendly and if you like your coffee hot, you can set it to take the skin off the roof of your mouth, if you wish. I’ve read reviews that this machine is too noisy, but it’s actually quieter than many of the others I’ve owned. The matte black finish resists fingerprints and this is the only true drip-proof carafe I’ve ever used. It’s even easy to clean. A can’t-miss purchase and I highly recommend it!

About two months ago it became necessary to replace my coffeemaker as the coffee was no longer hot. I went to Amazon.com and looked and read reviews. Based upon the reviews and even though it was a bit more expensive than some, I ordered the Cuisinart DCC-1200. This coffeemaker makes the best tasting coffee I have ever had at home. I am using the same freshly ground coffee and it tastes better. A big plus is the comfortable handle and no-drip feature. It really does not drip from the pot ever. My hands and fingers never get burned from steam when holding or pouring from the pot. Cuisinart has done a great job with this one. The other manufacturers can learn from this coffeemaker.

My coffee maker just died after 4 years, so I decided to replace with this model. It looked great in the pictures, and when it arrived. We were excited to try it out. The minute we turned it on it began making an electrical “Ozone” smell. We unplugged it immediately and shipped it back. We are not going to replace it. Too bad. It looked great. Also, the power cord is very short. My Krups cord was 44 inches log – this one is about 24. Just did not work for us. I cannot review the operation of the machine – we never got to use it.

I am not a heavy coffee drinker, but over the last few months I’ve gotten into the habit of drinking a tall coffee each morning from the store across the street from my job. To save money, I decided I should get a small personal maker for my daily cup. On the surface, this seemed like the idea coffee maker for someone like me as it brews only a single large mug straight into a nice portable mug with a spill-resistant lid. Unfortunately, it has no lived up to its image. The coffee does not come out hot at all, its barely lukewarm as the included mug is not microwave safe, it can’t be used to heat the coffee up to the proper temperature. It also is lacking any sort of “keep warm” function, turning itself off before the coffee is even done coming out. I am very disappointed in this particular maker and am returning it. I will say, though, if you don’t like your coffee hot, it does brew nicely. The included filter is very easy to clean and works quite well. I just prefer an actual hot cup of coffee.

This item is a fine product but it is made of cheap plastic. Does just what you would expect. Shipping is also very very slow. It took also two weeks to ship from a very short distance. For some wierd reason they shipped it ups to the post office then the mailman delievered it. I only live a few minutes (2-3) from the post office so this made no sense. The UPS man probably drove past my house to get to the post office.

This thing does a great job for weak coffee with no fuss. I highly recommend it. I really like the travel mug too. If the travel mug wasn’t so great this would be a 2 star review. I also like that something in the kitchen is black and decker…funny. Now for the bad bits…filling the dripper over 1/2 way with grounds results in grounds getting everywhere, including in the coffee and making clean up a chore. If you like your coffee strong at all this is not a good product for you. I gave mine away. Keeping the dripper under 1/2 way filled with grounds works great, but the coffee tastes like brown water to me.

I have been using my DCM 18 for about 3 years now and am very pleased with it. I found that the Dart Brand 16 J16 ounce foam cup works (Costco) in this coffee maker perfectly. Don’t fill the cup too full when filling the coffee maker or it will overflow. I use Folgers Coffee with the screen filter provided and get a tiny bit of grinds with my coffee which I find acceptable.
